Hi, I’m Cat the owner and trainer at New Forest K9 Services. We were established in 2019 to help you build a relationship with your dog, one which is built on trust, boundaries, and a mutual respect, all based around having fun while training your dog.
I have grown up with various breeds of dogs, including working gundogs, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and various terriers.
Over the years I have rescued a number of dogs and I have Maisy a nine year old rescue German Shepherd cross, who came from a suspected puppy farm. When Maisy first arrived as a sixteen week old, she had known nothing but the inside of a crate with her litter mates. She was withdrawn and did not know how to be a normal pup. With lots of work she is now a confident, happy dog and often attends 1-2-1’s as a stooge dog, helping me with dogs that have issues from reactivity, to recall issues, and anything in between.
I also have Dizzy and her daughter Layla. They are my working gundogs, and we regularly pick-up on various driven game shoots. Both regularly attend 1-2-1’s or group classes as demo dogs. My passion and speciality are with the gundog breeds.
I have completed a number of courses and am always attending workshops, webinars, and on-line classes for my professional development.
